This privacy policy describes how AppGenie, Inc. ("AppGenie," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website at appgenie.ai, join our waitlist, or use our platform.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address (when joining the waitlist or subscribing to our newsletter)
- Company name (optional, when provided on enterprise waitlist forms)
- Any other information you voluntarily submit through contact forms
Information collected automatically:
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- IP address (anonymized where possible)
- Pages visited, time spent, and referral source
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
Information collected when you use the platform (post-launch):
- Account information (name, email, organization)
- Product model data you create within AppGenie
- Usage data (features accessed, actions taken, performance metrics)
- Integration data (metadata about connected tools; we do not store your source code)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Process and manage waitlist signups
- Send product updates and launch announcements (with your consent)
- Provide and improve the AppGenie platform
- Respond to support requests and inquiries
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your product model data to train machine learning models.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate AppGenie:

Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers that maintain appropriate security standards.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential cookies: Required for website functionality (session management, security)
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site (page views, traffic sources)
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect website functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
6. Data Retention
- Waitlist data: Retained until you request removal or the waitlist is closed.
- Account data: Retained for the duration of your account, plus 30 days after deletion to allow recovery.
- Product model data: Retained for the duration of your account. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Usage analytics: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form. Individual session data is retained for up to 12 months.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Port your data to another service
- Object to certain types of processing
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@appgenie.ai.
European residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing is consent (waitlist signup, newsletter) and legitimate interest (analytics, product improvement). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Isolated tenant environments (each customer's data is logically separated)
- Access controls and authentication requirements
- Regular security reviews
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@appgenie.ai.
9. International Data Transfers
AppGenie is based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
10. Children's Privacy
AppGenie is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we will provide notice via email to registered users.
